April's Book - "How to Get What You Want Without Having To Ask" by Richard Templar

Hi Everyone!

The book we will be reading for April is "How To Get What You Want Without Having To Ask" by Richard Templar.

The book provide's a collection of tactics that you can employ to ensure that you always get what you want.

Before Reading the Book:
Think long and hard about something that you really want and havent been able to achieve as yet.

While Reading the Book:
Think about how you can use the principles discussed by Templar to achieve this goal.

After Reading the Book:
Devise a plan with actionable items with timelines and execute.

Book Club Overview

Goal:
The purpose of this book club is to provide practical skills that enables its members to excel in all areas of their life. The books that will be chosed will focus on transferable skills that it members can use to overcome personal and work-related challenges.

Participation Overview:
Members will be given a month to read each book, after which a general meeting will be held to discuss. Before starting to read a book, a reading guideline will be published so that members will have an idea of what they should achieve by reading each book.

Meeting Frequency:
Once a month in Toronto (skype for members outside of Toronto)

Book Selections:
Members will suggest and vote on the books that they want to read for the upcoming month provided that they meet the book selection guidelines.

Feedback:
Members can post their questions and feedback about the book while they are reading and other members are encourage to provide their input to another's questions.
